We spent 2 nights as B&B guests at the property and also joined a farm tour/oil tasting. For those seeking a rustic/authentic masseria experience at a real, working farm - look no further. The owners Corrado and Antonella are wonderful hosts, and treated us like family. The property is a slice of heaven. The tour itself, which is a major tourist magnet, is very informative and interesting with passionate guides. Very high quality olive oils- a reflection of the love and dedication that has gone into running the farm while respecting traditions since Roman times.
Beautiful olive farm! You can ask about the guided tour (in Italian or English) one day in advance, via email. A place so full of hisyory and so well preserved.
Do not recommend unfortunately. Did an olive oil tour here. The son gave it and I’m all fine with casual but he treated the tour like he just rolled out of bed and was forced to give this tour, wearing puma pajama shorts and stammering through much of his descriptions. The place is beautiful but probably you can find better tours that take more pride in hosting guests to teach them about olive oil.
Update: Edited now to one star because after I provided feedback the owner got very defensive and lashed out at me saying I’m heartless because his son had covid and I was not sympathetic — meanwhile no one told us he was sick. And instead of cancelling the tour and refunding us, they were greedy and made their sick son give the tour so they could keep our money. So not only illogical arguments by host but also repulsive behavior. I’m actually even more appalled to have come to this place now knowing they exposed us all to illness and then blamed guests for being disappointed in a poor tour. Take ownership for your guests experiences, instead of blaming them for your own incompetence.
We visited this olive tree farm for olive oil tasting and the history of this farm and land that have been making olive oil for 3000 years. It was amazing. A must visit.
Beautiful Olive tour! Great english guide who led us through the okive trees and told about them, showed us old rooms for extracting the oil and did okive tasting with us. I truly recommend!
Interesting and informative tour of the olive groves and museum. excellent tasting of olive oil. Run by lovely people.
